Seven people were killed and six others injured when a suicide bomber detonated an unidentified device in a cafe outside a police training school in the capital Mogadishu, Somali police said on Thursday. The victims included officers and civilians who were drinking tea outside the Kahiye General Police Academy headquarters today, police said.

Al-Qaeda-linked militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on its website.
