Around 20 people were injured, according to initial reports, after an explosion rocked an industrial zone in the city of Ezeiza near the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.

Local media reported on Saturday that the cause of the explosion remains unknown, noting that multiple fire crews rushed to the scene.

Local officials said the blast triggered a massive fire, with flames shooting more than 20 meters into the air. Authorities believe the explosion occurred at a warehouse belonging to an agricultural chemical company.

Videos circulating on social media showed the fire spreading rapidly across the site.
