African Union Rejects Parallel Government in Sudan and Clashes on the Border with Uganda

The African Union has rejected recognition of the parallel government declared by the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, warning of the dangers of dividing the country and its impact on peace efforts and the international community.

Meanwhile, four South Sudanese forces were killed in clashes with the Ugandan army near the disputed border, amid uncertainty regarding the reasons for the skirmishes.
