After EU Sanctions, Iran Vows Retaliation as U.S. Leaves Door Open for Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran would retaliate against the decision by France, Britain, and Germany to trigger the mechanism for reimposing UN sanctions, describing the move as “illegal and unjustified.”

He urged European countries to reverse their decision.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that Washington remains open to direct talks with Iran over its nuclear program, keeping a window for diplomacy despite rising tensions.
