The Al-Qassam Brigades announced Wednesday that its fighters attacked a newly established Israeli position southeast of Khan Younis, targeting Merkava tanks with explosives and “Yassin” rockets.

One fighter detonated himself as rescue forces arrived. According to Israel’s public broadcaster, 14 militants attempted to infiltrate the site through a tunnel, with eight killed and others retreating.
