The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that its fighters had shelled Israeli Occupation army sites and vehicles northwest of Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City using mortar rounds.

In a statement, the group said the attack was part of “the resistance’s duty to liberate the land and confront the enemy,” affirming that its weapons would not be laid down until these goals were achieved.

The extent of Israeli casualties or damage has not yet been confirmed.

The Islamic Jihad Movement was founded in 1981 in Egypt by Palestinian students to establish a Palestinian state over all occupied territories.
