Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz reclaimed the ATP world No. 1 ranking from Italy’s Jannik Sinner after defeating him in the US Open final, the last Grand Slam of the year.
At 22, Alcaraz first rose to the top in 2022 when he won the same tournament, becoming the youngest ever ATP No. 1.
His New York victory earned him 2,000 points, lifting him back to the summit, while Sinner dropped to second after 65 weeks at the top.
