Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Sunday announced a sweeping cabinet reshuffle that introduced 10 new ministers, including three women, and created new positions such as the “General Inspectorate of State Services.” The reshuffle also merged several ministries.
According to a statement from the presidency, the new government comprises 34 ministers and three state secretaries, while the key portfolios of foreign affairs, national defense, justice, and finance remain unchanged.
President Tebboune also formally appointed Saifi Ghrib as Prime Minister, days after he had assumed the role in an interim capacity following the dismissal of his predecessor, Nadir Larbaoui, on August 28.
