Azerbaijan has officially started exporting natural gas to Syria for the first time, with the gas flowing through the Turkish province of Kilis on Saturday. The launch marks a significant step in regional energy cooperation, supported by Qatar.
A ceremony was held in Kilis to mark the occasion, attended by Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Syrian Energy Minister Mohammad Al-Bashir, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, and CEO of the Qatar Fund for Development Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, along with representatives from participating countries.
