A court in Bangladesh on Monday sentenced ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to death after convicting her of crimes against humanity.
Judge Golam Mortuza Mozumder, delivering the verdict before a packed courtroom in Dhaka, said Hasina was found guilty on three counts, including incitement, issuing orders to kill, and failing to prevent atrocities. “We have decided on a single penalty — the death sentence,” he said, according to AFP.
