FC Barcelona announced on Wednesday the signing of English forward Marcus Rashford from Manchester United on a one-year loan deal, which includes an option to make the move permanent.
Media reports indicate that Rashford agreed to a pay cut to facilitate the transfer, with Barcelona covering his full salary during the loan period. The purchase clause is reportedly set at around €30 million ($35.25 million).
The 26-year-old joins the La Liga champions as part of their effort to reinforce the attacking line ahead of a pre-season tour in Asia, where the team is scheduled to play three friendlies in South Korea starting July 27.
