Lebanese President Joseph Aoun ordered the army to “confront any Israeli incursion into Lebanese territory” after what he described as a “serious and unprecedented assault.”

An Israeli occupation force reportedly penetrated about one kilometer into the southern town of Blida, killing a municipal employee during a raid on the town hall.

Aoun condemned the incident as “a new act of aggression” and urged international mechanisms to intervene immediately.

Israeli media reported that the occupation informed Washington of its intent to expand operations in Lebanon.
