Brazil, host of the COP30 climate conference, issued a first draft agreement on Tuesday for participating countries following late-night negotiations on unresolved issues.
The draft includes a wide range of options on the most contentious points, reflecting the significant gaps among nearly 200 nations in Belém and ongoing efforts to reach a final settlement.
The nine-page document, called “Global Mutirao”, referencing the Indigenous concept of collective effort toward a shared goal, was released after Brazil urged delegates on Monday to work around the clock to secure an agreement by midweek.
