British and French forces carried out joint airstrikes on Saturday evening targeting ISIS positions north of Palmyra in Syria’s Homs province.

The UK Ministry of Defence said the strikes hit weapons storage facilities and tunnel networks using Paveway IV precision-guided bombs, confirming the operation’s success without civilian casualties.

The French military said its participation aims to prevent the group’s resurgence, as part of the US-led international coalition.
