The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with global sports brand Puma, unveiled on Monday the official match ball for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Morocco.
Named “Itri,” the ball draws inspiration from Morocco’s traditional Zellige art, renowned for its intricate geometric patterns, while symbolizing unity and passion for football across Africa. The name also pays tribute to the star on the Moroccan flag and reflects the iconic star motifs of Zellige craftsmanship.
The tournament will kick off on December 21, 2025, featuring Africa’s top national teams competing in the continent’s most prestigious football competition.
