In a surprise move just three weeks before the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Morocco (Dec. 21–Jan. 18), Cameroon football federation president Samuel Eto’o has dismissed Belgian coach Marc Brys and appointed David Pagou as his replacement.

The decision comes only days after Eto’o was re-elected as head of the federation, marking the first major test of his second term and reigniting his long-running dispute with the Ministry of Sports.
