Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa has signed an agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) providing for a comprehensive and immediate ceasefire and the full integration of SDF forces into state military and security institutions.

The agreement includes an immediate ceasefire across all fronts and contact lines, as well as the withdrawal of SDF forces to the eastern Euphrates region as a preliminary step toward redeployment.

The Syrian presidency published the text of the 14-article “Ceasefire and Full Integration Agreement,” which stipulates the integration of the SDF and Kurdish security forces into the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and the handover of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa provinces from the Kurdish self-administration to the central government.

Under the agreement, the Syrian government will also assume responsibility for Islamic State (ISIS) detainees and their families currently held by Kurdish forces.
