US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Tuesday it has struck more than 9,000 targets inside Iran since the start of military operations in late February.
In a post on X, CENTCOM added that the strikes resulted in damage or destruction of more than 140 Iranian warships.
The command said US forces employed a wide range of military assets, including bombers, fighter jets, drones, and missile defense systems, across air, land, and naval operations.
The developments come amid an ongoing war that began on February 28, involving the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other, which has led to hundreds of casualties, including senior officials.
Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks toward Israel, as well as strikes on what it describes as US interests in the region, causing casualties and damage that have been condemned by affected countries.
