Beijing hosted the first World Humanoid Robot Games, featuring over 500 robots competing in races, team sports, and practical tasks such as sorting medicine and cleaning.

280 teams from 16 countries took part in the competition, held at the National Speed Skating Stadium.

Chinese authorities emphasized the event as part of a national strategy to lead the global robotics sector.
