China unveiled today a new generation of advanced military technology, including hypersonic anti-ship missiles, reconnaissance and combat drones, as well as unmanned naval systems, during a grand military parade in Beijing marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

According to the state news agency Xinhua, the parade at Tiananmen Square featured attack and escort drones, along with shipborne unmanned helicopters. The event also introduced new unmanned maritime equipment, including an underwater vehicle, an unmanned boat, and an advanced mine-laying system.
