The spokesperson for the Israeli prime minister’s office announced that the release of Palestinian prisoners will begin once the arrival of Israeli hostages in the occupied territory is confirmed.

A Hamas source said the first phase includes the exchange of about 48 hostages for nearly 2,000 Palestinian detainees.

The source added that field complications are delaying the recovery of all hostage bodies, with international experts expected to assist in later searches.
