Cyberattack Disrupts European Airports, Delays Reported in Berlin, Brussels, and Heathrow

A cyberattack caused major disruptions at several European airports on Saturday, including Berlin Brandenburg, Brussels, and London’s Heathrow, according to officials.

Berlin Brandenburg Airport said its passenger check-in systems were taken offline after the IT service provider was targeted Friday evening.

Brussels Airport warned of “significant operational impacts,” noting that check-in and boarding are currently being handled manually as technicians work to resolve the issue.

Meanwhile, Heathrow Airport confirmed possible delays but described the incident as a “technical problem,” without confirming whether it was linked to the cyberattack. The full extent of the disruption across Europe remains unclear.
