The death toll from floods and landslides triggered by heavy monsoon rains in northern and northwestern Pakistan has risen to around 200 in just 24 hours, most of them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where 91 deaths were recorded in Buner district.
Rescue teams evacuated 1,300 tourists from the mountainous Mansehra area, while the search continues for 35 missing people. Authorities have warned of worsening conditions as the rains persist.
