Rescue teams concluded operations on Tuesday following the collapse of a school in Indonesia last week, with the final death toll reaching 67, according to emergency officials.
Yudhi Pramantio, operations director of the National Search and Rescue Agency, said that “the total number of victims recovered has risen to 171, including 67 dead and 104 survivors,” according to AFP.
The collapse occurred at the multi-story dormitory section of the Khazini School in Sidoarjo, Java, last Monday while around 150 students had gathered for afternoon prayers.
