Dozens Killed by Heavy Rain in Indian-Administered Kashmir

At least 46 people were killed on Thursday after sudden heavy rains triggered by a cloudburst struck the town of Chisoti in the Kishtwar district of Indian-administered Kashmir, according to a disaster management official.

The town is a key stop on the pilgrimage route to the Machail Mata temple in the Himalayas.

This marks the second major natural disaster in the region within a week.
