Drone Attacks Hit Areas Near Khartoum Airport Ahead of Planned Reopening

The Sudanese capital Khartoum came under drone attacks early Tuesday, targeting areas near Khartoum International Airport, one day before its planned reopening after more than two years of closure.

Security sources said the Sudanese army intercepted several drones, though no confirmed casualties or damage were reported.

The attacks came as the Civil Aviation Authority prepared to resume domestic flights gradually following extensive maintenance and repair work at the airport.
