The Sovereignty Council of Sudan announced early Sunday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched suicide drone attacks targeting vital facilities in White Nile State, including a power station, fuel depots, and Kenana Airport.
The attacks were described as a systematic targeting of infrastructure and came hours after the Quad Mechanism called for a ceasefire.
Meanwhile, the African Union and IGAD affirmed that the Quad’s position aligns with the African roadmap for peace, stressing that there is no military solution to the crisis and calling for a civilian-led political transition.
