The Egyptian parliament approved a new cabinet reshuffle in Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s government, appointing 14 ministers to key portfolios and creating the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Development.

The reshuffle was proposed by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and passed with a majority vote.

State media said the changes aim to enhance government performance and address economic and development challenges in the coming period.
