At least 11 people were killed in a wave of Russian airstrikes targeting multiple regions across Ukraine overnight Friday, local authorities said.

The Energy Ministry reported “large-scale” attacks that disrupted power infrastructure, causing blackouts in several areas.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian forces made limited advances near Vovchansk as they sought to deploy artillery threatening Kharkiv.

The strikes come amid a deepening diplomatic stalemate over ending the nearly four-year conflict.
