Ten people were killed on Tuesday after a gunman opened fire at a school in the city of Graz, in southeastern Austria, according to the city’s mayor.
Mayor Elke Kahr confirmed to the Austrian news agency that among the dead were several students and one adult, in addition to the suspected shooter.
Earlier, police stated on the platform “X” that “special intervention units are on site,” referring to a “shooting incident” without providing further details.
Austrian television (ORF), citing police sources, reported that a student was behind the shooting, which led to the evacuation of the school.
