Hospitals in Gaza Out of Service: Health Ministry

The Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Alkai-la, announced on Tuesday that three hospitals in Gaza are no longer capable of delivering medical services due to the exhaustion of essential fuel needed to operate electric generators.

Alkai-la emphasized in a press conference in Ramallah the urgent necessity of establishing a safe corridor for the transfer of injured individuals and critically ill patients to Egyptian hospitals for medical treatment.

More than 5,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s attacks, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which says about 40 percent of the victims are children.
