Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is hosting the “International Conference on Women in Islam” in the city of Jeddah, under the patronage of the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

This three-day conference is organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and aims to highlight the achievements of Muslim women, emphasizing their significant roles and contributions in development.

This conference is expected to serve as a platform for developing a guiding roadmap for the implementation of legal reforms and political initiatives that promote justice and empower women in Islamic societies. Furthermore, the conference is set to adopt a comprehensive document titled the “Jeddah Document on Women in Islam.
