Escalating Crisis in Jenin Camp: Death Toll Reaches 7, Injuries Mount to 13

The situation in Jenin camp is escalating, with the death toll rising to 7 and the number of injured reaching 13 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. This increase follows a second incursion by Israeli forces into the camp in the early hours of today.

In the context of the attacks, a drone carried out an airstrike on a group of young men in Jenin camp, and Israeli forces worsened the situation by preventing medical teams from reaching and evacuating the injuries.

The attacks did not only target civilians but also medical teams, with a paramedic being shot in the back and an ambulance being targeted, affecting the efforts to provide first aid and rescue the wounded.

Events are unfolding rapidly, and the blockade of access to the injured for evacuation poses an additional challenge, necessitating immediate and serious intervention to de-escalate the dangerous situation in the region.

A report from the Palestine data Center revealed an increase in the death toll to 177 since October 7th, with new fatalities recorded. The number of injuries has surpassed 2400 in the West Bank.

These numbers reflect the difficult humanitarian situation and the increasing challenges faced by the residents of the region, indicating the continued violent escalation and prevailing tension in the area.
