A session of talks took place between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, with the aim of reviewing and enhancing coordination between the two countries across various sectors. These discussions occurred following the reception of the Brazilian President by the Saudi Crown Prince at the Yamama Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday, marking the second formal visit since 2009.
The talks focused on evaluating promising investment opportunities in both Saudi Arabia and Brazil, with the goal of achieving mutual interests. Discussions also encompassed developments in regional and international affairs, addressing common concerns, and collaborative efforts to tackle them.
During an interview with Saudi channels, Lula da Silva emphasized that his official visit to Riyadh goes beyond attracting Saudi investments to Brazil. It also aims to explore investment opportunities for Brazilian companies in the Kingdom. He further stated that this approach seeks to achieve greater mutual benefits between the two nations and create new job opportunities for citizens in both Brazil and Saudi Arabia.
The two-day visit witnessed the signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding in the energy sector, with the presence of Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and Brazilian Minister of Mines and Energy Alexandre Silveira.
