The capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, will be the center of attention tomorrow for the two-day African Summit on February 17.
Anticipated participants include 34 heads of state and international organizations, 24 presidents, 2 prime ministers, a king, 5 vice presidents, and 2 foreign ministry leaders. The UN Secretary-General and leaders from various organizations worldwide will also attend.
The summit will address a wide range of topics including security across the continent, military coups, election-related violence, conflict-induced humanitarian crises, climate change impacts, and security issues in Sudan, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, and the Sahel region.
