In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, severe rains have created landslides and floods that have claimed at least eight lives, leaving one child missing.

Four of the victims, including a baby, belonged to a single family, according to Brazilian police, and over 100 individuals have been forced from their homes around the state.

Ten of the state’s communities have received warnings from the state government about potential future flooding and landslides.
