Senegalese President-elect “Bassirou Diomaye Faye” assured allies that his nation will continue to be a “safe and reliable ally,” emphasizing “national reconciliation and institution-building,” cutting living expenses, fostering transparency, and fighting corruption.

In his inaugural address, the Senegalese president said: “I would like to say to the international community and our bilateral and multilateral partners that Senegal will always maintain its position and remain a friendly, safe, and trusted ally for any partner engaging in honorable, respectful, and mutually beneficial cooperation with us.”

Awaiting the official announcement, outgoing Senegalese President “Macky Sall” congratulated contender “Bassirou Diomaye Faye” on his win in the two-day presidential election.
