A storm in Pakistan causes numerous casualties

The number of people who have died in Pakistan due to heavy rain, storms, and lightning strikes in the past four days has now reached dozens.

According to Khursheed Anwar, who is the spokesperson for Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, the extreme weather conditions caused buildings to collapse, resulting in the tragic loss of 32 lives, including 15 children and five women.

Additionally, Anwar mentioned that the extreme weather resulted in injuries to at least 70 individuals in northwest Pakistan, with 1,370 homes being damaged.

The Punjab province witnessed 21 fatalities caused by lightning strikes and landslides triggered by intense rainfall.

Authorities in the southwest province of Balochistan reported that 10 people have died due to unexpected floods.
