On Friday, French police intervened to disrupt a pro-Palestinian student protest inside Paris’ Institute of Political Studies.
The location was evacuated amicably, with no violent occurrences reported.
The student protest in support of Palestinians has been going on inside the institute since Thursday, with some students going on hunger strike since the institute refuses to evaluate its partnerships with Israeli colleges. Before dispersing the protest, police closed “Saint-Guillaume” street in the 7th arrondissement, where the institute is located.
Meanwhile, the university administration announced the closure of its main branch in Paris on Friday, following a protest and sit-in by pro-Palestinian students inside the new facilities on campus.
