Nearly 900,000 people have been forcibly displaced from the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah as a result of the ongoing Israeli military operation in the Strip, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) said.
In a statement published today, USAID said that the displaced have traveled to other Palestinian areas that suffer from a lack of services.
On 6 May, the Israeli occupation forces began a military operation in Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, Rafah city has witnessed a large displacement of citizens from various cities in the Gaza Strip, where the number of citizens has reached about 1.5 million.
