Armenian premier’s helicopter makes emergency landing due to bad weather

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Saturday, 25 May 2024, that the helicopter carrying him had to make an emergency landing due to bad weather conditions, in an incident that did not result in casualties.
Pashinyan wrote on Facebook that the incident occurred near Vanadzor, Armenia’s third-largest city and the capital of Lori Province in the northern mountainous region.
“Due to bad weather, our helicopter made an emergency landing in Vanadzor. Now we are continuing the journey by car.
The Armenian prime minister’s helicopter accident comes days after Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, his foreign minister, and their entourage were killed in a helicopter crash in a mountainous area in northwestern Iran on 19 May under bad weather condition.
