Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tiani informed his counterpart, Palestinian Prime Minister
Mohammed Mustafa on Saturday that Rome will resume funding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinians.
Tiani said in a statement that the Italian government has prepared new funding for the Palestinian people totalling 35 million euros (about 37 million dollars), of which 5 million will be allocated to UNRWA
Many Western countries had stopped funding the international organisation after Israel claimed in January that 12 UNRWA employees were involved in the 7 October attack.
