Presidential elections in Iran: 80 candidates enter the presidential race.

The number of candidates running for the upcoming presidential race in Iran has reached eighty by the close of the nomination process on Monday
The vetting process is scheduled to begin today and continue until 10 June
The final list of candidates will be announced on 11 June, according to Iran’s official news agency
Qualified candidates will then have 15 days to conduct their election campaigns.
Prominent candidates include Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani, former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and former Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
