Officials appointed by Russia in the partially occupied Ukrainian regions of Kherson and Luhansk have reported that Ukrainian assaults have resulted in the deaths of at least 27 individuals as both Russia and Ukraine continued their exchange of drone attacks through the night and into Saturday.
In one such Ukrainian assault on Friday in the small town of Sadove, located in Ukraine’s partially occupied Kherson region, 22 people were killed and 15 others wounded, as confirmed by Vladimir Saldo, the governor backed by Moscow.
According to Russian state news agency Tass, Saldo stated that Ukrainian forces initiated the attack on the town with a French-made guided bomb, followed by a subsequent strike using a US-supplied HIMARS missile. He alleged that Ukrainian forces intentionally launched a second attack to maximize casualties, claiming that “residents from nearby homes rushed out to aid the injured.
