Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Armenian parliament today, Monday, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, following the return of territories to neighboring Azerbaijan to settle a decades-long conflict.
The wave of widespread protests began in April when Yerevan agreed to return towns to Baku that had remained under its control since the 1990s.
The two countries fought wars over control of the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which Azerbaijan regained last year from Armenian separatists who had held it for three decades.
