President Vladimir Putin will visit North Korea on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 18 and 19, according to an announcement from the Kremlin on Monday. This visit is considered rare to a country known for its isolation and accused by some of supplying Moscow with ammunition for its actions in Ukraine, according to the French Press Agency.
The Kremlin stated, “In response to an invitation from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin will undertake a friendly state visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on June 18 and 19, 2024.”
Following this, President Putin is scheduled to visit Vietnam on June 19 and 20.
