Canadian singer Celine Dion disclosed in a television interview on France’s TF1 channel Sunday evening her admission to excessive use of highly dangerous drugs, just before the release of a documentary recounting her battle with the illness that has kept her away from the stage for years.
The 56-year-old Canadian artist has been grappling with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS) for years, an autoimmune disease with no known cure that induces severe pain, movement constraints, and spasms. Dion, a Western music icon, hasn’t been able to perform in any concerts since 2020.
The documentary titled “Celine Dion: Through the Eyes of the World” is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video starting June 25th.
