Colombia prepares to receive 50 children from Gaza for medical treatment

Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo announced that his country is preparing to receive 50 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip for treatment.
Most of the children, who will be transported to Colombia via Egypt, will receive treatment at a military hospital, Murillo said in a press statement.
He added that his country wants to host the Gaza children and their companions for up to six months.
Murillo emphasised that Colombia seeks to encourage other countries to contribute to the treatment of Gaza’s children.
On 3 May, Colombia decided to sever its diplomatic relations with Israel because of its war on the Palestinian people in Gaza.
