The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that it recognises the State of Palestine
“The Republic of Armenia affirms its respect for international law and the principles of equality, sovereignty and peaceful coexistence of peoples and recognises the State of Palestine,” the ministry said in a statement.
“Yerevan sincerely wishes to achieve lasting peace in the region,” the ministry said in its statement.
This comes weeks after four European countries – Slovenia, Spain, Ireland, Norway and Spain – recognised the State of Palestine.
