Canada has taken military action to evacuate 45,000 of its diplomats and citizens in Lebanon.

Canada has sent military forces to the region to help evacuate Canadian citizens from Lebanon if war breaks out between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

The Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs had previously advised its citizens to avoid travelling to Lebanon due to the deteriorating security situation and the ongoing military operations between Israel and Hezbollah on the Lebanese border.
